SEND: Supporting Your Journey

Our SEND Services
We understand that accessing life and education can be more challenging if you’re living with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Let us help! We can provide you with information and support in a really practical way. We’ve created a dedicated service that focuses on supporting those living with (and those supporting those living with) SEND in our community. All of our services are free and operate on an appointment only basis.
Empowering Parents and Carers
Our SEND services offer assistance to parents and carers of children of all ages, helping you understand how best to support your child's needs. We can guide you through the complex SEND system and provide advice on accessing the right support, including the application process for an EHCP (Education, Health & Care Plan). If you need help collaborating with schools to ensure the best outcomes for your child or need to understand Home Education then we've got your back. Whatever concerns or questions you have about SEND, please reach out to us for advice or to schedule an appointment.
Emotional Support and Community
We understand that this journey can be emotionally challenging and lengthy. That's why we’re here to offer extra support through various groups where parents and carers can share their experiences and receive advice over a cup of tea. Sometimes, knowing that you're not alone can make a world of difference. Please ask the team about what peer groups are currently running - and if we don’t yet have one that addresses your situation then please ask the team if they might be able to set one up.
DLA & PIP
If you need help understanding or completing the paperwork to access the financial support you may be entitled to then we can help. Our specially trained staff can guide you through the whole process and have an excellent success rate.
Deepening Understanding through Training
We can provide valuable information and training sessions for families and professionals. These sessions aim to deepen your understanding of different aspects of SEND, equipping you with knowledge and tools to better support yourself and/ or your child.
Don’t Just Take Our Word For It
SEND Parent
“I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you for your time and expert advice. I am so much better informed now and we have a much clearer idea of what we need to do to get our child the support he needs. Your support is very much appreciated.”
SEND Parent
“Your recommendations are really clear and useful and you have provided me with good points to consider that I had not previously… This has really helped to decrease my “overwhelm” and create a focus for moving forward.”
SEND Parent
“It is refreshing to speak to someone who gets it. Thank you so much for talking to me. It means such a lot. Thank you for all your help and for helping all those parents out there.”
